Adam DiTroia Born into a very musical family, Adam's father played session guitar with artists such as Billy Joel, Barbara Streisand, Neil Diamond, and The Monkees. Beginning music lessons on the piano, Adam began composing his own music in his early teens. Among several private instructors was his grandfather, who instructed Adam in music theory and arranging, which would eventually lead Adam to work with live orchestras. Adam's first professional scoring jobs included several local television commercials and sound effects for websites and online games. He moved on to game modifications, providing epic music and original sound effects to hardcore fans. This opened the door to his first commercial game scoring project, "Taxi 3: Extreme Rush." Adam's latest projects include "Blastoff!" (www.telebites.com) for the award winning animation studio Dreamlight, and Kuma War 2 (www.kumagames.com), the episodic game that mirrors the war in the middle east. Adam recently scored and created sound effects for "Shootout," a game created for The History Channel by Kuma Reality Games. Adam also recently completed the music and sound effects for "Looney tunes: Duck Amuck!," a Nintendo DS game developed by Wayforward and published by Warner Brothers Interactive. Creating the musical score for March of the Penquins, by Skyworks Technologies for the Nintendo DS, was an exhilarating project for Adam. Both the developer and publisher wanted the music to reflect the light and fun atmosphere of the game, but there are also moments where the music was more reflective and dramatic, similar to the film's original score. Adam states, "I enjoy pushing the limits of gaming systems like the DS. Working on such an advanced platform challenges me to get musically creative in unique and innovative ways, and I believe this soundtrack captures the fun and excitement I had in composing this score." Looney tunes: Duck Amuck, for the Nintendo DS, for which Adam also created the music and sound effects, recently won Best of E3. Adam continues to create music and sound effects for games, television, film, animation, and the web. To hear QuickTime samples of Adam's work, please click here.
